Guti Could Leave Real Madrid For Corinthians

The agent of the Spanish midfielder stated that he could be on his way to the Timao…

After having made some noise with the signing of Ronaldo, Corinthians are hoping to lure Real Madrid midfielder Guti to the club.

Guti has not seen eye to eye with Bernabeu boss Juande Ramos in recent months, and he is looking for a new club that will make better use of his services.

Because of this, Gustavo Wolf, the agent of the player, has offered him to Corinthians on the advice of Luis Paulo Rosenberg, the director of marketing of the Brazilian club.

The Timao are hoping to continue to sign high-profile players, and apparently have the financial stability to do just this. In recent weeks Ronaldinho and Deco were seen as possible players who could reinforce their midfield this season.

Guti still has a contract with Real Madrid until 2011, but he is worried that perhaps next season he will be presented with limited opportunities at the club.

If he were to join Corinthians, he would reunite with former Merengues team-mate Ronaldo. They played together between 2002-2007.

Guti goes to Corinthians?

Real Madrid player’s agent has made an offer to Corinthians, which recently gained fame of making shocking signings.

After taking everyone by surprise by signing Ronaldo, and having tempted Ronaldinho and Deco recently, Corinthians board presided by Andres Navarro Sanchez is said to be ready to shock the market transfer again: according to the rumors, the Brazilian team would sign Jose Maria Gutierrez “Guti”, currently at Real Madrid.

Since the midfielder had some trouble with Madrid coach Juande Ramos, he’s not included in the starting lineup; so, agent Gustavo Wolf made Corinthians an offer guaranteed by Luis Paulo Rosenberg, marketing director at the team and one of the mentors of Ronaldo’s signing.

Guti’s contract with Real Madrid expires in 2011 but, as the team’s board future is still unknown, the midfielder could walk away from the team earlier as he’s afraid of not being taken into account by the coaching staff.
