Depois de um mês, a Fifa respondeu.


O caso Palmeiras-Copa Rio está entregue ao Comitê Executivo da Fifa e será avaliado no dia 27 de maio.
Por ora, o Palmeiras não é campeão do mundo, mas poderá ser depois da reunião. Veja abaixo a íntegra do email da Fifa:


Dear Paulo,

Thank you for your message and your patience in receiving a reply.

We point out that the request of considering the Copa Rio 1951 as the first Club World Championship, in a first phase, has been dealt with at administrative level by the FIFA General Secretariat. However, in view of the importance of the matter, it will have to be submitted to the FIFA Executive Committee. The next meeting of the Executive Committee will be held in Zurich on 27 May 2007.

Ricardo “Mentiroso” Teixeira garantiu a diretoria do Palmeiras que a equipe havia sido declarada Campeã Mundial.


Será um dos maiores “micos” da história do futebol se o comitê da FIFA não oficializar a conquista.


Nada que venha de Ricardo Teixeira pode ser noticiado sem ser checado.


Realmente lamentável, mas oficialmente o Palmeiras não é Campeão Mundial, pelo menos até a decisão da FIFA.


Vamos aguardar…
